A third-generation yogi, raised in a family connected to yoga and mysticism since 1916, with an expertise in Kundalini. A best-selling author, musician and artist, he’s taught for over fifty years using all of these talents, and is now building a new chapter at Kundalini University, which he and his wife, Guruperkarma, founded.
The pitch
Guru Singh explains the world of ancient and complex practices in a language that is succinctly expressed in both mystical and scientific terminology. His delivery makes absolute sense in the lives that your listeners and viewers are experiencing right here in this very moment of history. He draws parallels throughout this history that enable an audience to make sense of the present nonsense.
He calls it Practical Spirituality: ancient technologies explained in plain, science-based terms that listeners can use the same day.
He has trained thousands of teachers who now train their own. He speaks about change from five decades of watching it happen.
A lifelong musician whose mantra “Ong So Hung” has 5.7 million plays on Spotify. He’s recorded two albums with Seal. Mantra, for him, is a sonic technology that the body feels and experiences right away.

About
Guru Singh is a third-generation yogi, spiritual teacher, best-selling author and musician. For more than 50 years he has taught Kundalini Yoga in a style students describe as dynamic, science-based and musically inspired, bringing sacred wisdom into everyday life with clarity, warmth and power.
At the heart of his work is what he calls Practical Spirituality: ancient technologies explained so they make sense in modern times. Through daily meditation, conscious movement and self-awareness, his students strengthen the nervous system, balance the emotional body, clear the mind and open the heart. He often reminds them that the “throne of power” is not outside, but within you, and the work is to climb up on it and reclaim it through a consistent process known as practice.
A yogic, musical and artistic household since birth, and a near-death experience in early adulthood, set him on a path of radical change, a story he tells in his best seller Buried Treasures. Since then he has trained thousands of teachers, who have trained teachers of their own. With his wife, Guruperkarma Kaur, he has mentored tens of thousands of students in the United States and internationally.
What he’s working on
Together with Guruperkarma Kaur and their team, Guru Singh is building Kundalini University: a home for deeper study, certified teacher training and mentorship. It gives his five decades of teaching a structure that new students and new teachers can step into, from a free first practice to an advanced certification. Teacher training cohorts begin each year in October.
